Hello, I’m Alison and welcome to my blog!
I live in London with my lovely husband Dave, and Peggy the Cat. I am a beginner stitcher, hoping to keep this online diary as I progress on to being a fully fledged, grown-up stitcher and beyond!
I love to cook, I love to eat, and I have developed a possibly unhealthy addiction to charity / second hand / vintage shops hunting for a beautiful bargain. At the last count I was the (somewhat bashful) owner of 52 dresses…
I find being able to make something from nothing hugely satisfying, and taking inspiration from ‘old stuff’ (mainly the 1920s – 1960s). I hope to one day be able to make many more lovely dresses to add to my modest collection.
Hi,
Could you please tell me how I could find dresses by DL Barron?
Thanks!
I’m afraid I don’t know Andree. I just happened to come across my one at a market stall, rather than searching it out. You could try and internet search though?
Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Wonderful Site Alison…….I Love the garments you have made. I can see you are natural sewer, they look well made and the finishing very nice indeed!! Sonya ‘The Vintage pPattern Store’.
